Innter.Net© offers a reliable and effective solution for the significant reduction of unwanted advertising emails (so-called "spam"): the Spamfilter.
Advantages: Emails are processed even before delivery to the mail server, and may never be delivered to your email account if deemed to be spam. This not only saves you time by not needing to manually look through unwanted emails, but also data volume (transfer volume) and download time, and thus also your valuable time and online-transfer costs with your Internet Service Provider.
Spamfilter: Every incoming email is processed by the Innter.Net© Mailscanner and checked for typical spam characteristics. This involves querying multiple databases and comparing values to the incoming email, in order to protect from spam. If the sender of the email exists in one of the relevant databases, the email is discarded. Otherwise the message is forwarded on. In the second phase, the incoming emails are checked for other characteristics such as multiple typical word occurrences and typical subject lines.
Points are assigned per spam characteristic based on an intelligent rule set.
The sum of these points decides if the email is spam or not. Only when the email is considered to be "not spam", is it delivered to your inbox. This combination of filter methods sorts out over 95% of spam emails on the server.
Filterbasis: The checking for spam characteristics occurs on a "per domain" basis, so that all email addresses on one (or more) domain name(s) are protected. This allows you to define precisely for multiple domains, which email addresses should be filtered
Administration: Management of the spamfilter occurs via the convenient web interface of the Innter.Net CustomerCenter. There you can (de)activate the spamfilter per domain name.
