Transfer domain name
Has our offer persuaded you? Then why don't you come to the safe side with Innter.Net©. We'll take care of the technical transaction and carry out the technical transfer of your existing registered domain(s) for you free of charge.

Innter.Net© is an accredited member of the most important registration centres and can directly access the electronic registration system. Thereby we can not only offer you favourable conditions for the domain registration, but also short reaction times and high security during a domain move.

If you're planning a domain move / provider change to Innter.Net©, we offer you support with all formalities by skilled registrar personnel. The move of your web project can take place without downtimes - your website visitors won't even notice it.

The procedure is as follows:

  • Order your desired domain name(s).
  • Send us the completed CHPROV - Form via fax or mail.
(CHPROV-Form is required for the domain-move)
  • Cancel the subscription with the current provider according to their rules and regulations.
  • We will handle the technical domain transfer for you in your name.

Domain transfers occur after the receipt of payment. Unsuccessful CTSRs are charged separately according to the current tariffs.

Forms:
The following forms are available for you to download as PDF documents, and are required for authorisation for your domain transfer:

Form for changing Provider
This form is required if you already own an existing domain with another provider and wish to host with Innter.Net© instead.
Form for changing ownerThis form is required if you wish to change the owner, or owner details, of the domain.

Detailed procedure of the domain transfer:
A domain name is not administratively bound to a specific Internet provider, but always to the owner of the domain.

So owners of domain names can "take the domain names with them" to Innter.Net©.
This provider change is know internationally as "Changing the Supporting Registrar" (CTSR).

A CTSR generally follows the same pattern for most Top Level Domains. Innter.Net© manages a considerable amount of groundwork, in order to take over any services which may be running as smoothly as possible:

The domain owner notifies his current Internet provider of the forthcoming transfer and requests that he give his consent to the CTSR application. Innter.Net© provides the CTSR form for this purpose.

After successful order processing of your desired domain, Innter.Net© configures the DNS system for the domain to be transferred and enters existing domain entries, such as MX entries for mail servers. This way you don't loose any emails during the domain transfer!

Innter.Net© now submits the CTSR application to the registry of the corresponding Top Level Domain. The registry will process the application accordingly and send the current provider (in many Top Level Domains the technical contact of the domain) an enquiry, to see whether he can give consent to the provider change or not.

If the current provider agrees to the provider change ("ACK - Acknowledgement"), the domain name is transferred to the technical administration of Innter.Net©.

If the current provider does not agree to the provider change ("NAK - No Acknowledgement"), the CTSR application is declared denied and everything remains the same for the time being. Generally, after discovering the cause of failure, the procedure must be started anew. However, some Top Level Domains offer the possibility of a belated consent ("LateACK").
